How do we begin? How do we move from a tiny germ of an idea to characters, a story and scenes? This one hour workshop will involve a small amount of writing, a lot of chat and some improvisation.

Gabriel Fitzmaurice
11.00 am – 12.30 pm Saturday 11TH April O’ Mahony’s Bookshop FREE
Gabriel Fitzmaurice was born in the village of Moyvane, in Kerry, where he still lives. He recently retired as principal of the primary school and is the author of more than thirty books, including delightful children’s verse in both English and Irish Language. Gabriel will be there to sign copies of his book.
Eddie Lenihan
1.00 pm – 4.00 pm Saturday 11TH April O’ Mahony’s Bookshop FREE
Eddie Lenihan, lives in Crusheen, Clare and is a celebrated storyteller and author. He has been called "the greatest of Irish story-tellers". He is a collector of folktales and is particularly well known for his tales of Irish folk heroes, fairies and other supernatural beings from Irish mythology, folklore and oral history. Eddie will read excerpts from his book.
Poet's Corner
3.00pm – 6.00pm Monday 13th April Teach an tSolas FREE
Poets' Corner is an informal gathering every Bank Holiday Monday in Tralee for budding and mature writers to air their work in a friendly and encouraging environment. Current home for the event is Teach an tSolas Parish Centre, St John's Church, Ashe Street. 3pm to 6pm.
